5 Driver Installation

After installing the operating system, you need to install all related

drivers to make the system work accordingly. This section

describes the drivers needed for Windows operating systems and

the procedures to install them. For other OS support, please con-

tact ADLINK for further information.

To install Windows drivers, please follow the steps below:

1. Properly install Windows before installing any drivers.

Most of the standard I/O device drivers have been

included in Windows.

2. Install the chipset driver.

3. Install the graphics driver.

4. Install the Ethernet driver.

5. Install the WDT (watchdog timer) driver.

5.1 Install the Chipset Driver

This section describes installation of the chipset driver for the

MXE-3002 controller. The chipset driver outlines to the operating

system how to configure the Intel® GM45 chipset components in

order to ensure that the following features function properly:

X Core PCI and ISAPNP Services

X PCIe Support

X IDE/ATA33/ATA66/ATA100 Storage Support

X SATA Storage Support

X USB Support

X Identification of Intel® Chipset Components in the Device

Manager
